I covered the Silsbee story before, but new reporting adds trememdous depth. I’ve only skimmed this and won’t have time to write at length, at least not today, but this deserves wide attention. Via Pam’s House Blend.

Is there a fund for this girl that we can contribute to for her legal fees?
Everywhere I’ve seen this reported on commenters have asked where they can donate, but no one has replied. I’m not based in the U.S., so I’m not well positioned to set something up. Is there someone who could take on this task? It would obviously get a huge response.
The PoliticusUSA article comment thread offers these details for donations:
“There is a legal fund to help H.S. and her family defray the court costs. It has been set up by her lawyer, Larry Watts. Contributions should be sent to Watts Associates IOLTA Routing Number 111014325, Account No. 2902216304.”
I would need confirmation of that before sending any money. Any info from an official source?
