Thank You Scott Brown

I didn’t think I’d say that, ever.  Politically there are not going to be many points of agreement between me and a conservative.  But Scott Brown told 60 Minutes that he was sexually abused as a boy.  It’s not easy for anyone to say that.  There are millions of men in the US and around the world who are survivors of sexual assaults, as well as a huge number of women and a proportionally large number of non-binary folks.  Survivors out there are going to see Brown, who is a US Senator, and maybe it will help them accept that while the abuse will always be with them, it doesn’t have to define or limit them.  So I may never agree with him on another thing he says, but I’m glad he said this.
